- Japanese Calligraphy
- 'Shodo' is the writing of text with brush and ink on the special paper called Hanshi.
In Japan, all elementally school student have class at school and it is very common lesson for Japanese children.
In Shodo [good posture] [tranquility]and [concentration]is very important.
It is writing meditation.
The work is called 'Sho'. We enjoy them with balance,the movement of brush,gradation of ink.
In okeikoJapan, teacher will tell you how to write,and finish your own work.
We have plan for 'Shakyo(transcribing a sutra)'and 'Shabutu(tracing a picture of Buddha),too.

After the lesson, you can take your work home. Also, you will have a gift set of blush pen, candy, origami and postcard.
